 | Spring clean your styling tools! Let your curling or straightening iron cool, then put a little rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball, wipe down the iron and viola! Sticky residue is gone.

| Spring is on the horizon and with it an influx of humidity that can wreak havoc on your hair. In humid weather it's best to work with what you've got – let curly hair curl and if your straight hair curls up when the air is damp, find style that works with the waves!

| For deep winter conditioning, try honey! Massage ½ cup clover honey into wet hair from roots to tips. Wrap your hair in plastic, and then wrap a towel turban around the plastic. Leave on 20 minutes, shampoo and condition. Sweet!

| Tame winter static and flyaways with leave-in conditioner. Wash and towel-dry hair, spray conditioner on and comb-through for even distribution. Slip on your favorite sweater and go!

| Guys. Using styling products is a positive step, but your hair shouldn't ever be crunchy. It can be easy to overdo it with the product, but even short hairstyles should have movement. Stick to a hair product that is not sticky, and does not flake.

| Use a natural boar bristle hairbrush with a wooden handle to reduce hair static. If all else fails, run a dryer sheet over your locks!

| Olive oil helps not only repair split ends and heal dandruff - it makes your hair shiny, silky, and lustrous! Just massage a few tablespoons into your scalp and hair, cover with a plastic cap, and leave it in for 30 minutes or more. Then you can shampoo as usual.
