To remove hairspray residue from your curling iron, pour a few drops of rubbing alcohol on a cotton pad or make a paste of three parts baking soda to one part water. Rub over the cool surface of an unplugged iron, then wipe clean with a water-dampened cloth. Be sure to do this while the iron is unplugged!
